Back to Basics - What you must know when it comes to keeping up your Golf Fitness
Strength is a key element in all physical activity, particularly golf, which requires a sudden generation of torque over a relatively stable base. Stabilising the lower half of the body dynamically requires lower limb strength and power around the pelvis.
As age rolls along, women need a balanced combination of strength and flexibility for great golf.
The more flexible you are, the more you can rotate, and the further your ball will fly on impact. Of course, there are swing timing issues - Some super sporty women can time their wrists to achieve club head speed just like the blokes - but the rest of us need to rely on good swing mechanics.
It's important that you stretch!
When was the last time that you sat on the floor? Sitting cross legged will stretch out your gluteals (Butt muscles) which are so imperative for your balance. Once your legs settle in this position... which may take some time... try leaning forward towards each knee or rotating around.
