Bunkers - How to best tackle a sand trap.

Oh bunkers! Great golf courses have lots of them, so you need to be able to get out with minimal cost to your score.

Our tip: Get a bunker lesson as the technique is very specific.

As with all golf shots, always follow through.

The sand is variable in bunkers depending on the type of sand used as well as recent rainfall. Test the sand under your feet as you enter the bunker.

As a rule: If the sand is soft, you need to hit behind the ball quite hard. If the sand is hard, a softer stroke is needed.
